Holiday Cottage Fife visit to South Queensferry Fife Scotland located on the south side of the Firth of Forth.
Named after Queen Margaret, wife of Malcolm 111, the town was the ferry crossing point for pilgrims crossing the Forth to Dunfermline to visit the Church Margaret had established there. The Forth Rail Bridge was built in 1879 and dominates views from Queensferry across to Fife along with the Forth Road bridge opened in 1964. Queensferry provides magnificent views for photographers and tourists of both bridges that lie either side of the town
