St Andrews Google Map Fife
As the Google Map below shows the St Andrews, a university town is located on the East Coast of Scotland. The town is named after St Andrew the Apostle with a has had an important church in St Andrews since at least the 8th century, and a bishopric since at least the 11th century. St Andrews has the third oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of the UK's most prestigious. The University adds much to the charm and character of the town and accounts for one third of the town's population.

St Andrews Cathedral grew on the southern side of the Scores to the north and the Kinness burn to the south. Today it is a ruin looked after by Historic Scotland but still contains a fascinating glimpse into the history of the town.
